Anyone can make omelette; the difficult part is figuring out how to make one that’s delicious and healthy, not to mention visually appealing.
Luckily, I have done all the research for you so you don’t have to. Follow these 10 easy steps and you’ll soon be enjoying a tasty omelette any time you want!
Step 1 – Choose your filling
You can go the classic route with just eggs and butter, or get creative and add in some shredded cheese, diced ham, sautéed vegetables, or even a dollop of salsa or hot sauce
The sky’s the limit when it comes to omelette fillings! As long as you have the base of eggs and butter, anything goes.
To make a simple filling for your omelette, crack two eggs into a bowl, whisk them together with salt and pepper (and any other desired spices), then melt one tablespoon of butter in your pan over medium heat.
Step 2 – Beat Two Eggs Together
The second step is to beat the eggs. You can do this by whisking them together in a bowl. Be sure to get all the yolks and whites combined for a smooth omelette.
You can also use a fork to beat the eggs, but a whisk will give you better results. Fill a small frying pan with butter or olive oil: Next, fill your frying pan with butter or olive oil.

Step 3 – Get It On A Hot pan
Get your pan nice and hot before you add any oil. Then, add just enough oil to coat the bottom of the pan and swirl it around.
Add your eggs to the pan. Use a fork to scramble them up a bit before you start cooking them. As they cook, push the eggs around the pan so they cook evenly.
When they are done on one side, use a spatula to flip them over. If the omelette is browning too quickly on one side, move it over to another part of the pan or turn down the heat. When the omelette is cooked through but still soft and moist inside.
Spet 4 – Wait until Till It Sets
The key to making a great omelette is patience. You can’t rush it. Once you’ve added your eggs to the pan, wait until they start to set before you start stirring.
Then, use a rubber spatula to push the cooked eggs from the sides of the pan towards the center.
Next, tilt the pan so that the uncooked egg flows into the space and let it cook for 30 seconds or so.
After that, stop stirring and let the eggs finish cooking for another 30 seconds. When it’s almost done, add any ingredients like vegetables, meat, cheese, or seafood that you want.
Finally, fold one side of the omelette over onto itself and then slide it out onto a plate (be careful not to burn yourself on the hot pan).
Step 5 – Add filling
Start by adding your fillings of choice to the center of the omelette. Common fillings include cheese, ham, and vegetables.
Get creative and mix and match until you find a combination you love! Once you’ve added your fillings, fold the omelette in half so that the filling is enclosed.
Then, using your spatula, carefully lift one side of the egg mixture (keeping it at least 1 inch from the pan) and use your other hand to gently pull it over onto the other side of the pan.
Let go once it’s tucked under itself. Repeat this process for each side of the omelette until it is completely folded over with no loose edges or runny eggs on top
Step 6 – Fold Over Once Set
Once your omelette is in place, use a spatula and gently fold over one-half of it.
Be careful when doing so – at this stage, you don’t want to break through your omelette.
If you do manage to break it, patch up any holes with some extra egg mixture or water. Carefully remove the eggs from the pan.
Use a spatula to slide under the folded-over edge and flip the whole thing out onto a plate, then remove it from the pan.
After flipping onto the plate, peel off the top layer, Gently peel back one side of the omelette.
Step 7 – Cook For Half A Minute
First, you need to gather your ingredients. You’ll need eggs, milk, butter, and cheese. Then, crack the eggs into a bowl and whisk them together with the milk.
Next, melt the butter in a pan over medium heat. Once the butter is melted, add the egg mixture to the pan. Cook for half a minute, or until the edges start to set.
Then, add the cheese and fold the omelette in half. Add some salt and pepper on top if desired.
Flip it over so that the cheese side is now facing down. Let it cook for about two minutes more before flipping again so that the side without any cheese will be facing up.
Cover with a lid and let it cook for another two minutes before removing it from heat. Serve hot with toast, or as part of another dish like breakfast tacos!
Step 8 – Then flip
Once your omelette is nice and runny, it’s time to flip it. The way you flip it will depend on how you made it.
If you folded all of your ingredients into a single layer then there’s no need for special flipping action. Just be sure not to burn yourself.
However, if you added things like cheese or ham, they might not be cooked enough and should be flipped over separately.
That’s where the skillful flipper comes in: hold the pan with one hand, and carefully use the other hand to grab one side of the omelette (make sure that your fingers are out of range!)
Then let go and quickly push the pan away from you while at the same time pulling back on that side. You can also fold down one edge of the omelette with a spatula before flipping.
Step 9 – Cook The Other Side
Once the eggs are cooked on one side, use a spatula to carefully flip them over. Cook for another minute or two, until the other side, is firm. If you like, you can add cheese or other toppings at this point.
When the omelette is cooked to your liking, carefully slide it onto a plate and enjoy! The omelette should be golden brown with barely any white left, except near the edges where some egg whites may have run out.
Add butter and olive oil to a skillet and turn the heat up high enough so that when you flick water into the pan, it evaporates quickly.
Whisk eggs together in a bowl before adding salt, pepper, and any other ingredients desired (e.g vegetables).
Pour whisked eggs into a hot skillet using a rubber spatula to push back the eggs from the sides of the pan as they set so that all of them will cook evenly.
Step 10 – Eat Up
This is the last stage of preparing omelette and the good thing about it is that.
It can be eaten for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Also, it depends on how you want it to be served.
How Do You Make An Omelette For Kids?
There are a few things you need to keep in mind when making an omelette for kids. First, you want to make sure that the eggs are cooked all the way through.
